We have had a lot of requests from clients recently to train existing appraisers in interpretation and feeding back on 360’s.

Edgecumbe has been one of the leading consultancies working in medical appraisal and revalidation since the introduction of appraisal training in 2000. To support their revalidation doctors must collect colleague and patient feedback about their practice, Edgecumbe provides the doctor360 system and support service. Combining these two areas of expertise, Edgecumbe can offer training to appraisers who would like more information and guidance on how to interpret multi source feedback (MSF) and passing this onto their appraisees.

As part of the training Edgecumbe offers:

  • A highly select and expert group of tutors
  • Individual attention for workshop participants
  • Training that is developmental in style whilst ensuring that the appraisal is robust, challenging and fit for purpose.

The course aims to give appraisers an understanding of the theory and practice of MSF feedback within the context of medical appraisal; provides practical skills for facilitating feedback; and help appraisers implement an MSF system in their organisation where one does not already exist.
The course includes:

  • Purposes and principles of effective feedback
  • Reflection
  • Reviewing the report and handling difficult feedback
  • Setting learning objectives and enhancing performance

Please get in touch if you would like to know more about MSF Feedback training or appraisal training.
